I am a mother of two children and I am a person living with type 1 Narcolepsy with Cataplexy. Narcolepsy is the sudden urge to fall asleep and cataplexy is the triggered response to high emotions resulting in full or partial body paralysis. 
 
For this reason, I am not able to hold a full driving license. I never had any accidents when I acquired my CBT, but this was before I was diagnosed with this debilitating condition. Since then, I had to quit my job and become self-employed and I have accepted that I will never be able to hold a full drivers license due to my condition.
 
I am a self-employed person who crafts her own products, arts and I am also working on my second book. I sell my crafts at local markets but transport makes this limited for me.
 
Not being able to drive makes everything in life very limited for me, from having to keep a tight sleep hygiene schedule it limits my capabilities and time that I have to run basic errands. I am reliant on my health which with this condition can be spontaneous and having enough funds available to use taxis to get to places if I am not able to walk a long distance. Buses can trigger my narcolepsy more than being a passenger in a car due to the long journey times and persistent stops and movements. 
 
I also deliver to my local customers which can be a huge strain on my body with fear of falling over from cataplectic attacks.
 
I found a simple solution which will help me to do day-to-day activities, food shopping, basic journeys. That solution is a cabin car. It is an enclosed mobility scooter so that I can carry my products to and from markets without worrying about rain or wind damage to the products. It will also allow me to do basic food shopping for essentials, attend markets further afield to earn more, attend hospital appointments without having to spend money on taxis which are expensive.
 
I am on limited funds and reliant on what I can earn at the markets selling my products. My fundraiser is to purchase a cabin car. I am also happy to obtain a second hand one for cheaper if I am able to find one!
 
The fundraiser is set to the amount to purchase a brand new one, photo attached.
